Traffic, pavements, parking and lorries together form the biggest problems in living in New Buckenham.  We have researched the issues exhaustively, taking advice from an independent consultant and a Norfolk Highways manager.  The over riding obstacle is funding.  Some improvements could be done but only at the village’s expense, possibly with some help from very limited ‘partnership funding’ arrangements.   Read our detailed report here.

A flashing speed sign could face both directions in Castle Hill Road, for example, or we could have a ‘village gateway’ arrangement at each main entrance to the village.
