20 people walked and talked with the architect, Ben Woodings BA (Hons) Arch, Grad Dip Arch, on 3rd November in glorious late autmn sunshine. We met the professional ecologist on 25th September just before she ‘trod the land’ as part of her wildlife appraisal. Already she has looked at the national and county data on wildlife relevant to New Buckenham and has found that there is relatively little recorded. That’s not to say that the diversity of wildlife is Read More
Funded by the Neighbourhood Plan project, a bunch of villagers went to Norfolk Record Office on 20 July. We had a conducted tour starting with the Reading Room where the public can call for and read any of the collection. Our Open Day, one year on from the official launch of New Buckenham’s Neighbourhood Plan, took place on 28th April. As at the launch we had an excellent turnout from village residents. What can the Neighbourhood Plan do for you? Will you Read More
Our second focus group met on Monday 5th March in the village hall to discuss the village’s voluntary organisations and clubs. The group was led by Mary Dowson and TrishMallett. As with reports from the other focus groups, their write-up of the meeting will be published at the Open Day on 28th April.
Faith and the Church estate Our first focus group discussed Faith and the Church estate on 26th February. About 30 people came in spite of the freezing weather and had a constructive couple of hours covering a range of relevant issues. The report will be published later. Many thanks to Susan Hilton-Jowett for leading the Read More
The focus groups are coming! We’ve done the survey of residents as individuals, now we want to get some collective views from people representing village organisations such as charities, voluntary services, fund raising and clubs. The main question will be: What should be in the Neighbourhood Plan that would enhance these orgnisations and thus help Read More
